Creatorul Android și noua lui companie vor lansa un smartphone în vara asta

Planuri mai vechi ale lui Andy Rubin, unul dintre creatorii Android, de a lansa pe piață un smartphone propriu, se vor concretiza anul acesta.

Andy Rubin voia să pună pe picioare o nouă companie pentru ca visul său să ajungă realitate, lucru ce s-a întâmplat deja, noua firmă numită Essential Products Inc. este acum lansată pe piață cu Andy Rubin drept CEO.

Potrivit unui raport din partea celor de la Bloomberg, compania nou înființată pregătește lansarea unor smartphone-uri pe piață, dar și a unor produse smart home ce vor rula o platformă comună.

De asemenea, se amintește de lansarea unui smartphone ce ar fi programată pentru vara acestui an.

Există și o serie de aplicații realizate de cei de la Essential Products Inc. și un software mobil. Compania lucrează de asemenea și la terminale cu display edge-to-edge, la o tehnologie de încărcare magnetică, dar și la o versiune proprie de 3D Touch.

Echipa lui Andy Rubin este compusă din 40 persoane ce au lucrat în trecut în cadrul Apple și Google.
